Colon & Rectal Surgery
Dr. Jacqueline Kaiser is a board certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon. Several years ago she chose to limit her practice exclusively to the areas of anal and rectal surgery and colonoscopy. Most of Dr Kaiser's staff have been working with her for many years, and everyone at the practice feels that patients are like family. All care is one-on-one with Dr. Kaiser, who emphasizes education along with treatment. She believes in taking the time to help patients understand their problems, in addition to treating them.
Dr. Kaiser advises everyone to get a colonoscopy for colon cancer screening done at age 50., If you are having problems or if you have a family history of colon cancer or colon polyps, then you should get a colonoscopy earlier. Colon cancer is one of the few types of cancer that can be diagnosed and treated while still in a precancerous stage. Don't delay, schedule your colonoscopy consult today.
Additionally, many patients delay treatment of anal and rectal problems because of fears about the office visit and examination. Dr Kaiser and her staff make the extra effort to allow patients to feel comfortable in the office, so that problems can be effectively diagnosed and treated.
Dr Kaiser also treats many patients who have external hemorrhoids that, while not dangerous, can be bothersome in appearance and cleanliness. Often, these can be removed with a simple office procedure.
She also treats large pilonidal cysts with a very effective procedure called the Cleft Lift repair. This allows for the wound to be closed at the time of the surgery, and has a much faster healing time compared to traditional open wounds
